Project: Harborstone Credit Union Branch Office
Location: Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington
Client: Harborstone Credit Union
Scope: New Construction
Completed: 2014

This new branch office replaced an oversized and outdated facility built in the 1950's. To maintain uninterrupted service to customers, the new office was built in the parking lot of the existing branch, then, once it was open to the public, the existing facility was demolished.

Being located on the main boulevard of an active military base, the new branch had to comply with the latest Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection standards, as well as the base-wide architectural design guidelines. Additionally, all new projects constructed on federal land are required to achieve a minimum LEED Silver Rating.

By involving all parties from the beginning, CDA was able to satisfy both the client and the military requirements without sacrificing building aesthetics or functionality.
