As part of the efforts of the City of University Place to modernize their downtown corridor and boost the local economy, a 31,700sf lot of land in the new Town Center was sold to SEB for the development of a mid-rise mixed-use building.

Ground floor retail and four and a half floors of residential units stand over three levels of existing sub-grade parking, which connects to the north side of the recently constructed City Hall and library.

CDA created a blend of contemporary and traditional elements in the exterior design. The goal was to create a building that would fit the modern design cues set forth by the City Hall, yet would remain attractive to residents and visitors in the coming years as popular style trends change.
